9.what is the current through the zener diode ?
open circuit voltage across 10ohm resistor is 10X35/(10+20)= 11.66volts hence the zener diode is in breakdown region hence voltage across diode is 5 volts
total current from the source is 30/20 =1.5 amps
0.5 amps will be flowing through 10ohm resistor to make 5v drop and remaining 1Amps flowing through zener
answer is 1Amp
